Budapest English Coaching is run by Szandra and Alberto, experienced English teachers and coaches with over 15 years of teaching experience each. They met in Beijing, China in 2006 and have spent many years teaching English around the world.
Together, they bring a unique combination: Alberto's native English fluency from the United States, and Szandra's deep understanding of how Hungarian learners think and learn. This partnership means you get the best of both worlds.

Yes. We offer a free 30-minute trial session. This allows us to get to know you, understand your learning goals, evaluate your English level, and discuss the best learning plan for you. The trial session is not a full lesson, but it helps us determine whether our lessons are a good fit.
Regular lessons are 50 minutes long. This length allows us to work effectively on speaking, vocabulary development, and practical communication skills while maintaining strong focus and energy throughout the session.
Most lessons are conducted online, allowing students to learn comfortably from anywhere with flexible scheduling. In some cases, in-person lessons in Budapest may be possible depending on availability.
Our lessons are designed mainly for intermediate to advanced learners — especially professionals using English at work, adult learners improving speaking fluency, and job seekers preparing for interviews. If you are unsure about your level, we will assess it during the trial session.
Most lessons are one-to-one, which allows us to fully personalize each session to your goals, level, and learning style. We may also work with small groups, such as partners, colleagues, or friends who want to learn together — provided students are at a similar English level.
Lessons are purchased in packages of 4, 8, 16, or 32 lessons to support consistent learning and steady progress. Larger packages include discounted pricing and additional rescheduling flexibility. Each package has a validity period to encourage regular learning.
Students may reschedule lessons with at least 24 hours notice. Each package includes a limited number of reschedules: 4-lesson packages include none, 8-lesson packages include 1, 16-lesson packages include 3, and 32-lesson packages include 6. Lessons missed without sufficient notice are counted as completed.
Rescheduling a group lesson requires all students in the group to confirm the new time at least 24 hours before the originally scheduled session. If only one or some students attend on the scheduled day — regardless of the reason — the lesson counts as completed for the entire group and no reschedule will be granted. This policy ensures fairness for the teacher and all students. We strongly recommend confirming any rescheduling request as a group well in advance.
